Welcome to Save Nature 101!
This website was created by Girl Scout Troop 1213 of Vista, California, in 2026 for their Junior level Bronze Award.
The girls worked on this project in 5th grade and each put over 20 hours into researching content, creating this site, and promoting it.
This project started out of a desire to help protect Monarch Butterflies and the endangered California Coastal Gnatcatcher bird (whose call sounds like a cat meowing!). It grew into what you see today.
“Through this website, we hope to make people aware of problems they may not realize are happening in our community. We hope to teach others to be more careful about our native habitats.“
Thanks for visiting!
